About Gabriel Verissimo

Gabriel Verissimo

Managing Director & Principal Consultant

Gabriel Verissimo is the Managing Director and Principal Consultant at ACCELFORM, with over 16 years of experience helping large organisations turn data into better decisions and measurable business outcomes. He has held senior leadership roles including Head of Forecasting & Planning at Centrica and Global Head of BI & Planning at Vertex Data Science, advising and leading teams and data-driven transformation across complex, multi-country organisations and multiple sectors.

Gabriel brings experience across data strategy, data governance and management, analytics, data visualisation, business intelligence and operational planning, enabling leaders to turn insights into clear, actionable decisions, improved efficiency and sustained performance. While he brings a strong technical background, his focus is on clarity, accountability and decision enablement — recognising that many data and AI initiatives fail due to weak data foundations, poor data quality, unclear ownership and misalignment with real business priorities.

Alongside his advisory and leadership experience in data and analytics, Gabriel has been building strong capability in Artificial Intelligence from a strategic and organisational perspective. This includes completing the Oxford Artificial Intelligence Programme at the University of Oxford, as well as executive education on AI strategy from IBM and other organisations. His focus is on supporting organisations in thinking through how AI should be strategised, governed and adopted responsibly and effectively, rather than rushing implementation before the fundamentals are in place.

Gabriel holds an MSc in Finance from the University of Leicester and a BSc in Economics from NOVA School of Business and Economics, complemented by executive education in Leading Organisations and Change from MIT Sloan School of Management and in Data Strategy and Management from IE University.

He places strong emphasis on the human and cultural dimensions of transformation, ensuring that data-led change is adopted, sustained and translated into real value for organisations and their people. Gabriel works with executives, senior leaders, and data, analytics, BI and AI leaders across multiple geographies, supporting organisations both remotely and on-site.
